Da Popa
My user name comes from being "Da Popa" of the Church of Coolness, a pseudo-semi-para-faux philosophical-religious-whatever group my friends and I jokingly created years ago.

I'm an Introverted Intuitive Thinking Perceiving type of person (INTP), which I think means that I often enjoy thinking & talking about things that either don't matter or that matter so much that they tick people off (despite my intentions).

I majored in Philosophy and Psychology, did graduate work in Theology & Ethics before getting a Certificate in Clinical Research (the field I work in), and am still happily married.

"The unexamined life is not worth living."
-- Socrates (c.470-399 BC), Plato's Apology

"When faith is lost, when honor dies; the man is dead!"
-- John Greenleaf Whittier (1807-1892), Ichabod

"I think we ought always to entertain our opinions with some measure of doubt. I shouldn't wish people dogmatically to believe any philosophy, not even mine."
-- Bertrand Russell (1872 - 1970)

"Using logic and reason isn't enough; you have to be a dick to everyone who doesn't think like you."
-- South Park: Go God Go (2006), on the methods of Richard Dawkins & other Self-Righteous Demagogues
